Call for Bursary Applications
Cochrane Kenya is pleased to announce the call for bursaries to support attendance at the Cochrane Africa Indaba 2025.
Applications closed on 12 March 2025.
All applications submitted will be reviewed by the Bursary Committee. Successful applicants will be notified by 26 March 2025.

TDR Bursaries
TDR, the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, is a global programme of scientific collaboration that helps facilitate, support and influence efforts to combat diseases of poverty. It is co-sponsored by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the World Bank and the World Health Organization (WHO).
TDR is offering a limited number of bursaries for applications from researchers wishing to participate in the Cochrane Africa Indaba, based on the following criteria:
Living and working in a low- or middle-income country (LMIC)
Affiliated to a University or Public Health Institute
Contributing to the Cochrane Africa Indaba programme by presenting a poster or facilitating a session
Applicants not presenting are also encouraged to apply

SAMRC Bursaries
The South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) has a mandate to improve the health of the country’s population, through research, development and technology transfer, so that people can enjoy a better quality of life. The scope of the organisation’s research projects includes tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, cardiovascular and non-communicable diseases, gender and health, and alcohol and other drug abuse, with a strategic objective to help strengthen the health systems of the country.
The SAMRC is offering a limited number of registrations for policymakers and students wishing to attend the Cochrane Africa Indaba.
