What is this survey about?This survey is the second stage of the Priority III project. This project will identify the current most important research questions on how we bring together and summarise information from lots of different research studies, using an approach called a 'rapid review’.Who should take part?

Each year, more than five million children die before the age of five, most of them in sub-Saharan Africa or Central and Southern Asia. Many of these children suffer from infectious diseases including pneumonia and diarrhoea; and from malaria and malnutrition; and many children have more than one of these illnesses at the same time.

Cochrane South Africa (SA) invites researchers and health professionals interested in conducting systematic reviews to apply for a 1-week 30-hour Online Protocol Development course that will take place from 31 May to 4 June 2021. 

Every year, about 500,000 newborn babies die as a result of infection caused by bacteria. Most of these deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries.  Hand hygiene is an inexpensive and a cost?effective method of preventing infection in newborns.
