In 2021 the Cochrane Africa Steering Group and members of Cochrane Africa affiliates embarked on an extensive process to update the Cochrane Africa Strategic Plan.

In order to encourage broad participation and ensure the plan reflects interests and ideas from across the continent, a survey was sent to all Cochrane contributors in the sub-Saharan Africa region. The Cochrane Africa Steering Group then met to consider the survey responses and to update and finalise the plan. The strategic plan is available here
