The East African Hub is hosted by Cochrane Kenya which was established as a geographical affiliate of Cochrane in 2021. 

The role of the East African Hub is to promote evidence-informed decision making in health care in the following countries: Kenya, Comoros, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda by supporting and training new authors of Cochrane Reviews, as well as working with clinicians, professional associations, policy makers, patients, and the media to encourage the dissemination and use of synthesized or summarized evidence.
